BE A WELL BEING AT WORK

THE MISSION

Finding ways to be healthier at work doesn’t have to be difficult and effortful. My workshops and courses share skills and practices that support achievable, enjoyable and sustainable health outcomes.

My integrative approach combines Yoga Therapy, neuroscience, psychotherapy, counselling, breath work, meditation, yoga, mindfulness, anatomy and Integral Eye Movement Therapy. (Work history & training)

My workshops and courses focus on cultivating three key areas needed for sustainable health improvement:

  1. AWARENESS. Meet yourself as you are with kindness. Learning to recognise how you feel is essential if we wish to feel differently.

  2. BALANCE. Bring balance to your body, feelings & mind. Learning how to use our breath, mind, imagination and body to bring greater balance to our nervous system and experience of living.

  3. SUSTAINABILITY. When we resource ourselves we can make sure our wellness is not a fleeting thing. Learn to tap into your internal and external resources supports you to live a more balanced, easeful life wherever we are, whatever we’re doing.

WORKSHOPS, COURSES & CPDs

You can build a package of the workshops and courses to meet your budget, time or interest.

WORKSHOPS

1-4hrs

The workshops combine uncomplicated, accessible psycho education to support a better understanding of the physiology and neuroscience behind the practical skills shared. When people know why things work it goes a long way to seeing the value and committing to practice.

NOURISH - EMBODIED SELF CARE PRACTICE

Self-care is the practice of taking an active role in protecting your wellbeing. Learning to look after our own needs is an essential life skill and an embodiment of the advice we so often give to others. Self-care practice not only improves our lives but also gives us the necessary resources to support others at work and at home.

Awareness

Exploring our own relationship with self-care can be quite illuminating and lead to small but effective changes in our routines at home and at work. When we know what makes us feel more relaxed and at ease (soothes our nervous system) we can take better care of ourselves and improve our health outcomes.

BALANCE

Self-care often brings a greater sense of balance to our lives as we being to prioritise the things we need to feel able to manage the demands of our life.

sustainability

  • The practical elements of the session can be recorded so people can listen and practice again as often as they would like.

  • ‘How to’ and ‘why bother’ guides are also provided.

  • For an additional fee I can offer weekly ‘NOURISH’ online or in person session for any length of time that repeats the practices shared and/ or moves practice on.

DESK MOVES

This workshops shares simple but effective stretches, myofacial release, accupuncture points and massage to support a release of tension in the body and mind from a desk based work day.

Awareness

Together we explore postural awareness, notice what parts of our body need attention and how moving helps us get out of our heads and into the moment. We learn how easy and quick it is to feel more free and at ease in the body during their working day.

BALANCE

We play around with movements that balance the body, especially the spine. We also look at movements that lift and lower our nervous system to enhance energy or rest depending on the demands of our day.

Sustainability

  • An information sheet will be provided with the key take away learning and practice instructions.

  • People will have access to a 5min video on my YouTube channel showing some of the practices shared.

  • For an additional fee I can offer recorded or live extra/ weekly ‘DESK BASE MOVE’ online or in person sessions for any length of time.

BREATH POWER

This workshop shares research to support our understanding of the power of the breath and how we can use it release emotional tension, lift our energy and soothe ourselves.

Awareness

We learn to notice our habitual breath patterns, learn the optimal movement of the breath and tune into our natural breath rhythm.

BALANCE

We explore breaths that lift and lower the system so we can change our experience to raise or lower our energy.

Sustainability

  • An information sheet will be provided with the key take away learning and practice instructions.

  • People are given access to a 10min video on my YouTube channel that takes them through some of the practices taught.

  • For an additional fee, I can offer weekly ‘BREATHING SPACE’ online or in person sessions for any length of time.

REST YOURESELF WELL

This session is tailored to the environment and equipment available to support people to access deep rest. The practice shared shifts from the ‘active’ to the ‘resting’ part of their nervous system; to initiate deep cellular healing and relief from the stresses of work life.

Awareness

We learn the value or rest in order to support a healthier mindset to ‘resting’ practices. We create the opportunity for people to notice and feel for themselves how easy or difficult it is to move towards rest.

BALANCE

Rest and activity are equally important. Without rest we cannot be productive, active. They are two halves of the full circle of living well.

sustainability

  • The session will be recorded so they can listen and practice it again as often as they would like.

  • Other resources of places to access such resting mediations will also be provided.

  • For an additional fee, I can offer weekly ‘RESTING SPACE’ online or in person sessions for any length of time.

SLEEP WELL - RISE RESTED

There are many reasons why our sleep is effected, anxiety, menopause, new parenting, physical pain, noise pollution and more. Whatever your reason, in this workshop we learn some simple techniques to support falling asleep and topping up when sleep is thin on the ground.

Awareness

In this workshop we explore why sleep is so important for cognitive function, what’s normal and what’s not and how sleep works. Greater understanding can take away some of our sleep anxiety when we think we’re not getting enough.

BALANCE

We’ll look at what sleep gives us and then ways we can get some of that sleep goodness when sleep itself is harder to come by.

sustainability

  • The session will be recorded so they can listen back and do the practices again.

  • An information sheet will be provided with the key take away learning and practice instructions.

  • For an additional fee I can offer weekly recorded or live, ‘IMAGINED SLEEP’ practice to support people to sleep or recover from a bad night’s sleep.

COURSES

4 x 1hr sessions/ 1 x 4 hour session/ 1 x day session

LIVING WELL WITH STRESS

This course supports a reframing of stress by busting some of the myths around stress and through deepening our understanding how stress effects the brain and the body.

Awareness

We investigate the role stress has in our life and how we feel stress - so we can better understand our relationship to it and identify the changes we need to make to reduce its impact on us.

BALANCE

We explore and practice simple skills and methods that allow us to work through the experience of stress and reduce its effects. These include quick practices which can be done at work and longer ones that need to be done at home to support a greater sense of balance in our life.

sustainability

  • The practical elements of the session can be recorded so people can listen and practice again as often as they would like.

  • For an additional fee, I can offer weekly ‘LIVING WELL WITH STRESS’ online or in person sessions for any length of time that repeat the practices shared and offer new ones.

MIND KIND

Each course uses movement, breath and mediation practices combing mindfulness, Buddhist and yogic philosophy with neuroscience and research to offer a clearer understanding of how ‘mind’ works and how we can manage it more skilfully to reduce anxiety and gain clarity.

Awareness

We explore the relationship between body and mind, the purpose of mind, patterns of thought, the importance of thought and our feelings around our mind space.

BALANCE

We share practices that allow us to gain some mastery over mind in order for us to feel more free and self determining.

sustainability

LISTEN & BE HEARD

This workshop explores the power of listening and how listening can help improve our relationships at work and at home. We discuss the conditions needed for good listening, the difference it makes to us when we feel ‘heard’ and we practice our listening skills.

Awareness

Having an awareness of how it feels to be heard and not heard allows means we can make more conscious choices about how we interact with people in conversation and can transform our relationships.

BALANCE

We explore the art of listening and talking - only when we do both can we have true balance.

sustainability

  • The practical elements of the session can be recorded so people can listen and practice again as often as they would like.

  • For an additional fee, I can offer weekly ‘MIND MANAGEMENT’ online or in person session for any length of time that repeats the practices shared and/ or moves practice on.

MINDFUL

In this series of workshops we explore the research based Mindfulness approach to stress reduction. Over four sessions we explore what mindfulness is, its power and how to practice it. At the heart of this course is a cultivation of gentleness towards and a curiosity about - self. When we learn to notice things in the moment with curiosity and kindness we learn to meet the ever changing experience of life with greater ease and less suffering.

Awareness

This course aims to ignite your awareness in the simple things which allows us to be more present in the moment as it unfolds, rather than jumping ahead to the future or reliving the past. When we develop our awareness we make the first steps towards a greater sense of freedom no matter where are or what we’re doing.

BALANCE

Learning to meet what’s arising with kindness and curiosity can help support us to make the necessary changes we need to live with greater balance.
